It is a game that can be played by just using your common sense and convincing others about how you’re not the imposter. Hence, it involves a lot of lying and manipulating.

This game supports cross-platform play which makes it easier for pc version users playing this game with mobile users. The game is now supported by playstations and xbox series as well. It is a flexible game with different and interesting features.

The game has a feature of chatting with all the players to help them discuss who the imposter is. The imposter needs to pretend that they are innocent. Once the discussion is over, each player gets to vote one player that they think is the imposter out.

The fun feature is that the discussion can only happen in an emergency meeting. The meeting can be called once when players among the crew are found dead or someone finds out who the imposter is and convinces everyone else.

You can explore three different maps with one game 10-15 min long. Even if you're voted out as an imposter, you don't have to wait too long to play another round.

Is Among Us Safe for Kids?

Among Us is a safe game, and there's not much to worry about. The cross platform play game has simple graphics and simple rules to play. This is a great game to play with friends and connect with them virtually online or using local wi-fi.

It is safe to play, but the chat feature can be skeptical. You don't want your children to talk to a stranger online while playing a game. There are a lot of people using swear words in the chat section and you may not want your kids to learn about it.

You need to only allow your children to play with friends and not other strangers. As the game can be played online with strangers, taking care of your kid’s internet safety is crucial.

A feature is added from 2021, where the player must enter their age before starting the game. Kids will have a preselected set of words to send in the chat section, so they'll not be able to hold any other conversations besides who the imposter is.

Although this feature has been added, you need to monitor your kids from time to time.

Is Among Us a Violent Game?

Although the game is about imposters killing players among the crew members (which does sound like a violent game), it doesn't seem violent. And the dead bodies shown don't look disturbing at all.

The game's objective is to be more strategic using one’s common sense and not focus much on violence. It is about decoding who the mystery killer is rather than violence. As you see a killing happen or have doubt on someone being an imposter, you run to the cafeteria where you can find an emergency button to call an emergency meeting.

Sometimes the kill animations with knives and guns can seem violent for young kids. You need to evaluate the graphics of the killing and the dead bodies shown before letting your children play the game. However, Among Us is a simple game with little violence, but it still has adverse effects on your child.

The game is about pretending and convincing others that you're not the imposter while other teammates complete randomly assigned tasks. So basically, your child will have to learn how to lie. Learning how to lie at such a young age could affect their growth, and no parents would want it.

The game uses guns and knives as kill animations, which you wouldn’t want your kids to learn about. The chat section helps your kids to be exposed to other strangers. And you wouldn't know what conversations they had as the history is not saved.

Another thing about the game is the language people use in the chat section. You don't want your children to learn or listen to swear words strangers use in chat.

By using the online multiplayer section, anyone can play as a teammate, and there will be a lot of predators and your child’s internet safety may be threatened. It would be best to be careful about your child getting vulnerable with them.

Finally

Among us is a fun cross platform play game that has PC versions, mobile versions, Xbox series and Playstations with cute graphics, and the graphics attract kids as well. Finally, a different concept has made this game popular among children and youth. Overall, giving the Among Us review, it is a fun game to play for your kids while keeping some factors in mind.

The game is great to play when you're having a gathering using local wi-fi or online with people you know, and you can ask your kids to only play with the people they know. The game is about strategy about finding the imposter and the imposter convincing others that they're innocent. It is very simple and fun to understand the concept as complicated as it sounds.

There are some drawbacks or dangers in the game that may affect your child if they're young. The kill animations with knives and guns and the dead bodies may seem disturbing to them, and the chat section may be open to all types of predators and harmful people.

Your children may pass personal information under the influence of the predator. There are examples of some kids sharing their numbers and talking to them, which may threaten your child. Taking care of your kid’s internet safety is important.

Another thing you should think about before letting your child play this game is convincing others that you're not an imposter. So basically, your child will be learning how to lie, and you may not want your children to learn those things.

Overall the game is fun and simple. You can monitor your child and make them enter their correct age. However, you need to constantly monitor your kids while playing the game. There is a new feature of adding the age before playing the game, and if they're underage, they will only be able to send some predefined chats and nothing more.

This game is great fun and addicting as well. So, it would help if you made your kid control their screen time. Otherwise, the game is fun for all ages, so you can also sometimes join them and enjoy it together.
