Step 4: Select "This is My [Device]" and Click on Use Screen Time Passcode to create a passcode.

Step 5: Re-enter the passcode to confirm. (After the confirmation of the passcode, in iOS 13.4 and later, it will ask you to enter your Apple id and password. This will help you to reset your Screen Time passcode if you forget it.)

Step 6: Then go to Settings on your child's phone.

Step 7: Navigate to Screen Time and tap on Use Screen Time Passcode.

Step 8: Enter a passcode that you created on your phone.

Step 9: Re-enter the passcode to confirm. (this locks the setting so kids can't change it back).

Note: Choose a different passcode for your kid's device than your screen unlocks password. Today, kids are more intelligent, so they can easily guess your passcode. This way, you can restrict your kids from using the iPhone all the time as it locks the setting. You can moderate your kid's iPhone remotely after connecting to family sharing and following the above steps.

How to Limit Your Child's Screen Time on iPhone?

How to Change or Turn off the Passcode on Your Child's Device?

You can change or turn off settings on your child's device. To change or turn off the passcode on your child's device,

First, Go to Settings > Screen Time > [your child's name].

Second, tap Change Screen Time Passcode or Turn Off Screen Time Passcode.

Third, it will ask you to authenticate the change with your Apple ID, Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode.

Finally, it will change or turn off the passcode on your child's phone.

How to Reset the Screen Time Passcode if You Forget it?

No problem if you forget your Screen Time passcode. You can update your device to the latest iOS or iPadOS then reset your passcode. If not, erase it and set it up as new to remove the passcode and choose a new one. Restoring your device from a backup won't remove your passcode.
